Aurora’s 2022 Employment Survey

I am so encouraged by seeing the numbers from York Region’s (Aurora’s) 2022 Employment Survey Results.  Our Town’s economy continues to show strong signs of post-pandemic recovery, with 3,037 jobs added to the town’s employment base since 2019 along with 72 new businesses. The overall job growth between 2019 and 2022 far exceeds the small drop in employment that occurred during the height of the pandemic. This is a testament to the resiliency of our business community and a signal that more employers and small business owners are coming to Aurora to expand, open new businesses, create employment opportunities, and foster economic growth.

And while this is great news, so many businesses still need our support as they continue in their recovery from the past three years. So, I encourage all residents to get out there and support our local business owners. #LeadershipThatGetsThingsDone
