Committee of the Whole – March 10, 2026

Last night at Committee of the Whole, Council unanimously supported the motion I brought forward to protect vulnerable social infrastructure in Aurora.

This includes places of worship, schools, childcare centres, hospitals, and congregate care facilities — spaces where people should always feel safe gathering in our community.

While the motion will still need to be ratified at Council, last night’s unanimous support sends a strong message about the values we share as a community. Aurora will always stand against antisemitism, hate, and intimidation in all its forms.

Because in Aurora, hate has no home.

Below is the video of the remarks I delivered at the table.
