My name is Dabria Peta-Dragos, I am a 19 year old, First Year Student at McMaster University in the Health Sciences program and I proudly endorse Mayor Tom Mrakas for re‑election!
As 2024-25 Co‑President of Aurora’s Youth Engagement Committee and 2024-25 Re‑Elected President of the York Secondary Catholic Presidents’ Council, I’ve worked closely with Mayor Tom Mrakas to turn young people’s ideas into community action. Mayor Mrakas has invested in our downtown and Town Square – creating real public spaces where students and young people can gather, lead events and bring their voices to the table. Mayor Mrakas has shown up for community recognition and inclusion – publicly leading youth flag‑raising ceremonies at Town Hall, supporting the organization of large scale Youth Week Events, consistently attending Youth Engagement Committee meetings and inviting young leaders to present their ideas directly to Council at Aurora Town Hall. Mayor Mrakas listens, invests and delivers results for young people and the whole community. I’m proud to keep collaborating with Mayor Tom Mrakas – his leadership has empowered me and others to amplify youth voices across Aurora. I wholeheartedly endorse Mayor Tom Mrakas for re‑election!
