My work has taken me to many municipalities and provinces over the last 45 years. In this time, I have found many challenges that face our cities and towns. Over the last 5 years, since I met Tom, I have found that he has brought a practical and balanced approach to leadership in Aurora. For that reason, I support and endorse Mayor Mrakas for his reelection bid in 2026.
While I have had questions and queries over a few issues during my tenure here in Aurora, I have always been impressed with his willingness to listen to my business concerns and engage directly with the me about them. Whether people agree with every decision or not, I have found he has shown his commitment and accountability to moving Aurora forward in a thoughtful way.
Furthermore, in my opinion, under his leadership, Aurora has continued to grow by investing in economic development, recreation and long-term planning, while maintaining the character of the town that residents and businesses value. I believe Tom Mrakas is the right man for the job to lead us forward and provide steady leadership and a genuine commitment to businesses and residents alike.
