Pre-Budget 2026 Discussions

Discussions for the 2026 Budget have already begun with staff, and I am  committed to continuing to provide exceptional services to residents at the best possible value.

To ensure the budget reflects the needs of our entire community, I have once again asked Council to meet with me to discuss priorities for their individual wards.

Last year, four councillors (Wards 1,2,4 and 6) collaborated and brought forward important ward-specific issues that I and staff worked hard to incorporate into the budget.

This collaborative approach helps ensure that the unique needs of each ward are recognized and addressed. Every resident, in every ward, should have their concerns heard and reflected in the Town’s priorities, which is a Councillor’s role and responsibility. By working together, a budget can be delivered that strengthens services, enhances infrastructure, and improves quality of life for all Aurorans, while maintaining one of the lowest tax rates in the entire GTHA.

I strongly believe that ensuring all wards are properly represented is essential — our residents deserve nothing less.

I look forward to continuing these important discussions with Council as we build a responsible budget that puts our community first.
