With the announcement that the Province has appointed special advisors for a Regional Governance Review, many are concerned at what this could mean for our Region. I welcome this review as I believe it is our responsibility as elected officials to look at ways in which we can provide the same or better services for less dollars and find efficiencies within our local government. At the same time, however, it is important that we ensure that what makes each municipality unique continues to be at the forefront and is not compromised in the name of efficiency….Throughout the consultation period, I will continue to advocate for Aurora’s needs and will keep our residents informed as to the progress of the process.
