As was announced last week, the Town has signed a new lease agreement with Slabtown. As such, I will be bringing forward a motion to release all closed session and related materials regarding the tenant selection process.
Releasing these documents is important for two reasons:
Transparency: Residents deserve to see the full process and how decisions were made.
Accountability: The public should know whether their Councillor voted in favour or against this important decision.
I am confident that when all materials are available, residents will see that this lease is the best possible deal and a big win for our Town — with a fantastic new tenant in Slabtown Armoury.
