At this week’s General Committee Meeting, Council discussed the recent resident satisfaction survey conducted by the Town of Aurora. This survey was the first in 15 years and has provided some valuable insights into how residents view the quality of life in the town, as well as the services provided.
Overall, the survey results were very positive, with the vast majority of respondents indicating that they have a high quality of life and are satisfied with the services provided by the Town. Specifically, 98% of respondents indicated that they are satisfied with the overall quality of life in Aurora, and 92% indicated that they are satisfied with the services provided by the Town.
When asked to rate specific services provided by the Town, respondents gave high ratings to services such as Parks, green spaces, and multi-use trails (with a satisfaction rating of 94%), Recreation facilities, spaces, and facilities (93%) waste collection and recycling (92%). However, there were also some areas where respondents indicated that improvements could be made, such as traffic and transportation (where only 75% of respondents were satisfied) This is an area where Council and staff can work together to find solutions that will help to reduce traffic congestion and improve the overall transportation system in our town.
Overall, this survey is certainly good news for the Town of Aurora and is a testament to the hard work and dedication of Council and staff in providing excellent services to our residents. And is proof that our community continues to work together to get things done and get them done right…. However, while overall the survey shows a positive trend in resident satisfaction and that we are headed into the right direction, the results also point to areas where improvements can be made. By identifying these areas, Council and staff can prioritize and strengthen services to better meet the needs of the community. In doing so, we can work towards making the town an even better place to live, work, and play. This commitment to addressing community concerns and striving for continuous improvement demonstrates Council and staff’s dedication to providing exceptional service and maintaining a high quality of life for all residents of Aurora.
I believe this survey should be done once a term to gauge the overall feeling of residents and help shape the priorities for the upcoming term ensuring that Council and staff are working on the issues that matter most to the residents and businesses of Aurora.

This news letter is very positive regarding Aurora and its community. It is a special place to live in.
I am wondering, as many of us are, is there any word on the commencement of our new hospital and where is it going to be. It is the next phase to compliment Southlake and very much needed.
