St John’s Sideroad Improvements

Many residents have reached out this past week regarding the work being done by the Region along St. John’s Sideroad between Bayview and Leslie. The Region has explained that differential settlement occurred between the concrete sidewalk and the asphalt multi-use path (MUP), creating a safety concern. As a result, they decided to remove the concrete and soften the boulevards with sod and new tree plantings.

Additionally, the stamped concrete in the center median is being replaced with topsoil, sod, and trees to help reduce vehicle noise.

I hope this clarifies the work being carried out by the Region. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at [email protected].
