The prolonged housing crisis, decades in the making, is having a devastating impact on communities across this province. Doing nothing is not an option.

Since first being elected over eight years ago, I have been a fierce advocate for municipal autonomy in land use planning. I have said this many times before, cutting red tape, making it more efficient to get shovels in the ground is a good thing, but a one-size-fits-all legislative approach to land use planning is not the way to meet community-specific housing needs…….
