Update on Smaller Recycling Cart Exchanges

Update on Smaller Recycling Cart Exchanges

After many residents — and the Town — have been waiting for clear information, Circular Materials has finally provided the timeline for recycling cart exchanges for those who requested a smaller cart by the February 13 deadline.

Aurora Exchange Dates: March 10–13 (Tuesday to Friday)

Residents who confirmed their request will receive additional details directly, but exchanges will follow your regular recycling collection day.

Exchanges will take place Monday to Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Due to the size of the service area, residents are asked to leave their current 360-litre cart at the curb for up to five days after their scheduled collection day to allow crews time to complete the swap.

We are still waiting for clarity regarding second recycling bins and overflow issues. Hopefully, we will have updates on those matters shortly as well.

Thank you for your patience while we continue pushing for answers and solutions for residents.

  2. Just to be clear, if the exchange date is between the 10th and 13th, does that mean leave your cart out the week before?

    1. I think the email said to leave your cart at the curb after it has been emptied on your regular pickup day. They will take up to five days after that to make the exchange.
