Diversity and Inclusion Mural

This past week Council approved the final design of the Diversity and Inclusion Mural. I am proud of this Council as we continue to celebrate our diverse community. This mural will be another part of our revitalization of downtown and incorporating art and culture.

As the artists Moonlight Murals Collective state….. “The message behind this concept speaks to all the different cultures that have been working alongside each other, collaborating and weaving traditions in order to create a happy and prosperous life for themselves, each other and future generations. This is the beauty of Canada, especially Aurora, where many diverse communities call home.”

What a perfect way to depict our diverse culture in Aurora!! I am looking forward to the installation which is scheduled for this  Summer-Fall 2022. And a big thank you to Desjardins Ins. and Smart Centre for their generous donations.
