The New OMB (LPAT)

All 444 Municipalities have Official Plans with the objective to allow for appropriate growth that is specific to the needs of each individual municipality… But with the current appeals process (LPAT – OMB) – what we have is a “One Size Fits All” approach to land use planning. This leads to unelected, unaccountable individuals approving “over-development“ in our communities… And until changes are made to LPAT – Staff time and your tax dollars will be wasted developing Official  Plans that are not worth the paper they are written on!!
